THE JANINE COLLECTIVE
A Curated Perspective on the things that makes the world go round: Gardening, Climate Change,
Voting, Music & Arts, and Faith in Action (whew, that's a lot!)
The Janine Collective combines the vibrant fibers of my life and is the evidence of what matters most and sustains me. I'm Janine.
As a child, I was blessed to spend a significant amount of time with my grandparents. I watched how they loved and what they loved. I have found solace, joy, and wholeness in some of those very same things: my faith in God (who is bigger than our minds can imagine), being a parent, a lover of music and the arts, and an avid gardener.
The Janine Collective is a digital home for things that are important to me for #selfcare. Just as art, writing, or journaling are expressions of freedom, creativity, and a space to decompress from the noise is what nurtures my soul.

MEET JANINE
My life as a former military spouse allowed me to live, travel, work, and meet some awesome people from across the U.S. and internationally. I've lived in California and the United Kingdom - traveling up and down their coasts - learning new ways of life and meeting extraordinary people. It’s been my fortune to have traveled to South Africa and Zimbabwe by way of invitation from a childhood friend who has a heart as big as the sun – yep, two Black girls from Cleveland living it up on the continent – God is good. Since that time, I have longed to visit the home of my ancestors in West Africa. Until travel is no longer a health risk, I will prepare for my journey to Ghana, Senegal, Nigeria, and Guinea Bissau, spend time with friends sipping wine, kicking it up with friends, learn how I can tribute to climate change efforts, share what I learn, and search for interesting content to add to this website.

Welcome and drop me a note at janinecollective@gmail.com if you have ideas or suggestions for content.

Peace,
